falling. lent. spring break.

let's see we have had attitudes, some unorganized chaos, arguing and the list could go on in the Dumas household as of late.

BUT I am proud to say things are now falling back into place with more family time and the

thankfulness for the simple things in life that have been overlooked for a while.

I am so thankful for my hard working, loving husband 

and 4 healthy, energetic, and beautiful kiddos. I just can't get enough of all of us together.

 lent is here. day 2 of the 40.

I can't say I have really ever successfully given up anything for lent, but

this is the year for me.  I have given up something that is a part of my everyday life.

chocolate....... and yes I did say everyday.  I love it.

the fam went to Ash Wednesday service last night, and the message I am sure

was written just for me and the hubs.  Goodness.

So the chocolate and I have sad our good-byes and are looking forward to meeting again.

officially 28 hours from now spring break will begin.

can't wait to celebrate with my sweet family.

 although, the snow works a little like sand.

 it works very good at burying your sister.

 nope, daddy wouldn't let me cover her face. :(

 yep, I am cool.  real cool. quite COLD!

I am always out numbered.

no joke.  you could have seen this one in the Dumas front

yard for a few days.

and just think - I never knew they came with a cute secruity gaurd.

a BIG thanks goes to Cole for all his hard work directing the

kiddos on how to get this done.

Fairy Tale Ball 2011

They had a blast at their Fairy Tale Ball, a Sudduth kindergarten tradition, to celebrate Valentine's Day!

 it is a family affair to get the sled working just right.

your momma takes a picture of you every few seconds of you sledding, 

and the ride ends with a fall.

 

 

 you ride the town looking for just the right hill to sled on, and when you find it

  the 5 inches of snow is almost gone in some places because people

have been sledding all night at that very place!

 

 your momma just keeps taking picture after picture of the powdery right stuff, so many that her

memory card is full and some pictures had to be deleted.

 

 you even make the youngest little miss sled even if she is screaming very loud in rejection

because after all it might be a once in a life chance!

you throw so many snowballs your arm is sore for days!

these 2 boys lived it up at deer camp a few weekends ago.

I can't believe these 2 are even BIG enough to go, and the fact their mommas 

let them go.
