sweet little liza!

our little group of girlfriends got together to help Laura get ready
for the arrival for sweet little Liza.
we took Laura to her favorite place to eat in Starkvegas, only with the success
of me putting my foot down because she just didn't believe I had worked it all out with Taylor.
But anyway..... we had a great time celebrating with cake, presents, lots of laughs, and
good food! (thanks to Restaurant Tyler)

so they called'em OUT.

our little man, as most of you know, seems to be a little sickly. :(

we found out this summer he has an upper respiratory immune deficiency, and he
has since started a treatment plan to boost his system.

BUT of course in the meantime, he has started big school and has managed to go ONLY half the days.
so...................
after a trip to the ENT this past Friday the doctor decided that his adenoids and tonsils will be coming out a week from today.
he is not sad to say good-bye to those things, but his momma is just a little nervous about the surgery.

We are hoping this will make a BIG difference!

please pray for a easy surgery and a quick recovery for our little man!

the first day of school

Lawson Joy, 6th grade
Katherine, 4th grade
Phelps and Watkins, Kindergarten

Yes, we had a very big photo shoot.
I am proud to report I did not cry that morning - the night before yes.
I think I could hold it together because they have one of the best teachers in the world.
We are working very hard to transition into our school routine.
Honestly, the uniforms do not make for a cute picture BUT they do make an easy morning.

Happy School Days 2 you!

rolling on back to the 4th.

our morning started with these for breakfast!
(yes, I did feel like Martha myself.)

some of my children were not impressed, something about that tasted
funny. :(

But Phelps loved them!

then we went to church.
red, white, and blue were kinda hard to find for everybody in church attire.
But we managed.

group shots hard to come by.

sisters
and the brother.

we made this traditional 4th dessert.
too bad the little man stepped on it and we were unable to share it at our cookout.

finally we headed over to the Winston's for food, FUN, and of course fireworks!!!

happy belated 4th!
