The Dumas clan had a great time getting the season started off right tailgating for the White Out game against LSU.  

Too bad the bulldogs did not come away with the win!

My girls always go to their Grandy's house for the week of cheerleader camp at our old high school.  They always have a blast with cousins and new friends.

This boy who mowed our grass and canned/jarred 12 jars of pepper sauce and tomato relish on Saturday with no help from me the wife.

And might I add that he grew the peppers and tomatoes himself!

He is very handy, a wonderful Chef, successful, cute, and mine.

Thank goodness!

Now I know this picture explains a little about the looks of my kiddos, based on the light complextion and blond hair of my sister and momma.  Funny right?

My sister once said, "It is sure funny how my sister's kiddos look more like me and not their mother."

Do you think so?

Honestly, I hate to admit it, they do.  Not that it is a problem, but in Science I learned the brown eyes/hair gene is dominant.  Either I heard wrong or something amazing happened when 3 out of 4 of my kiddos are blond.

Lawson Joy is tall, really tall.  Or is it that her momma is short, quite short??

I love my family, and are thankful I have them all!

The momma had a blast getting them all dressed up for the occasion,

but let's just say they weren't as enthusiastic as her at the beginning......

I am in denial about several things.

1.  am I really old enough to have a child old enough to transition into the youth group?

where did the time go?

2.  the boyfriend.

can you find LJ in the picture?  the sweet little boy in pink is her boyfriend.

he is cute, polite, atheletic, fits right in with the Dumas clan.....

but really a real boyfriend.  help me.  most of all help JD.

3.  rules.

is it against the rules to write about this on this blog.

I will let you know, because Lord knows she will tell me.

4.  am I ready for this an almost teenager?

right now, I am not so sure.

Easter is always spent in Prentiss with most of the Dumas clan.

This year we were -6, the Russ Dumas family (JD's oldest brother) were missing.

But we were +1, the oldest grandchild, Jessica Philips, brought her boyfriend 

to meet the family.

The boys had a good time breaking him in, hope he comes back!

excuses. ramblings. the count down.

1.  picture taking. this blog. let's say has taken a little back seat.

why? you might ask.

2 softball players, 1 t-ball player, and 1 soccer player schedules that just

throw me in a frenzie.

By the time, I figure out the schedule, lay out the schedule, and make it to my place in the

schedule, well I just sit and enjoy.

let's just say thank you Phelps for just enjoying sitting by your momma.  

no balls for her.  :) 

her choice.

tonight, well, I plan on taking out the ole camera and taking some shots of my kiddos.

2.  summer is AlMoSt upon us.  thank heavens.

9 days with students.

11 days counting the 2 without students.

3.  we made the final big decision the twins will be visiting kindergarten AGAIN next year.

a big decison, but one I feel we will all be thankful for.

4.  kindergarten separated.

that is right the twins will be in separate classes.
GASP.  

yes, that is what I am most nervous about.

5.  the hubs, well, I can honestly say we are on the same page more than ever before.

and you know I love him lots.
alot.

6.  I have lost 37 pounds since January. 

big step.

to bad I need to loose that much more.

thank you to my exercising side kicks!

Viv and Ashley you make the gym and walks so much better.

7.  my refrigerator has nEvEr been so bare.

grocery store just isn't as fun with the 4 kiddos in tow, and with the mad dash

I did a little grocery store shopping at the gas station this morning.

ziplocs, milk, chips, and bread 
that had it all.  it doesn't really matter where it comes from.  right? 

9.  KD and Phelps will not eat in the cafeteria without tears being shed.

LJ and Watkins LOVE the cafeteria for lunch and even breakfast.

10.  17 days until a vacation.
